Versiv PTFE Films for Pharma Closures and Cap Liners
Used as cap liners, stoppers and plunger laminates, Versiv high performance films are used in the pharmaceutical industry in next generation drug containers and delivery systems.
They provide a barrier to minimize interaction between the drug and the closure therefore maintaining purity, shelf life, and minimising risk of recalls. Our fluoropolymer films are inherently inert and will not contaminate the drug or sample in any way.
For pharma closure applications, Versiv high performance films are used because they are uniquely bondable to several sealing substrates such as butyl rubber and other elastomers. Our films conform to complex shapes therefore reducing the manufacturing defect rate. The excellent thermal stability and operating temperature range make them ideal for drug containers that must undergo lyophilization (freeze drying) and heat sterilization because stoppers will not stick.
In cap liner applications, our films act as high performance barrier films preventing contents from coming in contact with or sticking to the sealing device.
