PTFE sheets: Stop uPVC window sticking
Thermally efficient and virtually maintenance free, uPVC windows and doors have become an increasingly popular and cost effective solution for commercial and residential buildings around the world.
Manufacturing in high volumes requires streamlined operation for every part of the production process, and consistent release is a must to maximize output and minimise potential defects when welding uPVC windows and doors.
With a superior release surface and temperature resistance of up to 260°C / 500°F, Versiv PTFE products are optimal surfacing materials used to prevent melted PVC from sticking to and building up on welding platens of your machinery.
Offered as release sheets for V, flat and combined welding platens, Versiv release sheets are suitable to use in all hot plate welding processes, including RF and microwave systems. Easy-to-clean, the non-stick surface reduces the risk of contamination and weld failures, while offering excellent welding plate protection and reducing maintenance needs to a minimum.
During the welding of uPVC windows and doors, Versiv PTFE release sheets cover the four heated welding platens on each corner of the window or door. This provides consistent release and prevents melted PVC from sticking to and building up on the welding platens of the machinery.
